1) 11TH PASTEL SOCIETY OF MALTA ANNUAL EXHIBITION – 1st December – 19th December, 2017
The Pastel Society of Malta will be holding its 11th Annual Exhibition, with the participation of eighteen artists showing forty paintings which include portraits, nudes, landscapes and seascapes.
The public is invited to see and admire these works in pastel and appreciate the colours and beauty that this medium can produce.
Entrance to this exhibition is free of charge and runs from Mon to Fri at 9:00 to 19:00 on the 01/12/17 until the 19/12/17.
This exhibition will open till 13.00hrs on Saturday and will be closed on Sundays.
2) The GREAT RUSSIAN NUTCRACKER – 15th December, 2017
The most popular and magical Christmas ballet for all the family! The artists from “The Crown of Russian Ballet” of Moscow with soloists from Bolshoi Theatre and talented young dancers bring Nutcracker to life with exquisite dancing, beautiful sets and Tchaikovsky’s glorious music. The venue is in St. George’s square on the 15th December 2017 at 20:00 to 22:00.
3) BARBETTI AT XMAS – 19th December, 2017
Enjoy Christmas carols like you have probably never heard them before. Presenting Studio 18’s Il-Barbetti, the male barbershop quartet who will be bringing you an evening of all-time favourite Christmas carols in barbershop style. Venue is at the Casino Maltese on the 19th December 2017 at 20:30.
4) THE VALLETTA NEW YEAR’S EVE FESTIVAL 2017
Following the past few years’ successes, Malta is proud to present the National New Year’s Eve Festival for 2017/18 in the heart of the beloved capital, Valletta. A magical atmosphere will flow through the capital’s narrow streets, creating a warm, festive aura for everybody to enjoy.
St. Georges Square once again will host the main stage and will see the very best of Malta’s top local artists and band. This year we will also be having some international artists which will soon be announced in the next coming days.
5) ALICE IN WONDERLAND – A traditional Christmas pantomime – 23rd December, 2017 – 7th January, 2018
This Christmas season, we’ll be following Alice’s crazy adventures in Wonderland as we embark on a journey that once again promises to be as much fun for the audience as it is for the cast. Masquerade Theatre Company returns with another magical Christmas pantomime with larger-than-life characters to boot. This event runs from the 23rd December to the 7th January 2017 at the Manoel Theatre.
