We’ve paired up with the newest haunt in the Capital, 131 City Lounge, to add another regular LGBTIQ+ MeetUp for your calendars.
4th March 6PM: Latinos Fridays @ Michelangelo Cafe Lounge
Latino Fridays: Starting from Friday 4th March. Free entry & special offers on drinks and bottles.
6th March 3PM: Afternoon Tea to Sunset by ARC @ The Sheer Bastion, Hammett’s Macina, Senglea
Join us on Sunday the 6th of March for Afternoon Tea at The Sheer Bastion, above Hammett’s restaurant in Senglea. Get a group together or come by yourself for a chilled afternoon with familiar faces and new ones.
To make this event a success, we invite you to reserve below and pay in advance (non-refundable) so that we can ensure enough places for everyone.

16th March 7PM: Community Dance Classes @ Triq l-Izbandola, Qormi, QRM, Malta
Community Dance Classes are a fun way to explore your body through movement in a safe, inclusive and accessible environment. Taking place on Wednesdays or Thursdays, the classes are open for people of all ages, genders, and abilities.
Proceeds will go towards Dar il-Qawsalla Malta Gay Rights Movement’s upcoming project, to build the first center dedicated to LGBTIQ persons, where they will establish a program of supported accommodation.
17th March 6PM: Monthly Catchups @ Malta Chocolate Factory
ARC’s monthly meet-up in the North of the Island is taking place every 3rd Thursday of the month starting in August.
Malta Chocolate Factory is equipped with all sorts of beverages and great treats to try.

18th March 7.30PM: Living and Loving in the Age of AIDS @ Malta Society of Arts
Living and Loving in the Age of AIDS – A conversation with Author Derek Frost, followed by a book signing.
Come and meet Derek Frost as we hold an intimate conversation on his memoir and take the opportunity to get hold of his book and get it signed by the author himself.
A donation entrance of €5 will support the work of Allied Rainbow Communities and Checkpoint Malta. (Free Entrance for ARC Gold Members).
The book will be available at a discounted rate of €15.

22nd March 7PM: Launch of the Documentary Screening – ‘Equality from Heart’ @ Malta Society of Arts
ARC is proud to launch its video documentary ‘Equality from the Heart’. ‘Equality from the Heart’ captures the narratives of various LGBTIQ individuals in Malta, shedding a light on the lived lives of our community throughout the 20th Century, during a time when our identities were considered taboo, as it reflects on the progress this country has made and looks to the future with optimism.
The Launch of this video documentary will take place on Tuesday 22nd March 2022 at 7pm at the Malta Society of Arts, Republic Street Valletta. More information will follow soon but we are informing you in advance as we would love to have you present on the night to be amongst the first to see it.
The event is free of charge but seating will be limited. Booking Link will be opened in the coming days
This video documentary has been funded through the Voluntary Organisations Project Scheme managed by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector.
4th April: Pathway to Parenthood – Adoption Webinar
In April, MGRM will be hosting two webinars, reaching out to the LGBTIQ people who are interested in adoption and fostering. These webinars aim to share information and knowledge from families who have already walked that particular path. Our panelists to share their experiences, and the viewers will have the space to safely seek advice on the subject.
The first webinar will be focusing on “Adoption” and will feature a single parent and a same-sex couple, alongside Ms.Remenda Grech from The Directorate for Alternative Care.
17 – 30 April: Malta International Fireworks Festival
The Ministry for Tourism and the Malta Tourism Authority are pleased to announce that the 21st edition of the Malta International Fireworks Festival will be taking place on seven nights between Sunday 17th April and Saturday 30th April 2022. Each night promises to be a beautiful display of colour and coordination, and the closing night is bound to be a true spectacle.
